As with any non-profit, Gavin’s Galaxy measures our impact in the community and from time to time share some of those milestones and victories with our supporters and the general public. While we are unable to share all of our accomplishments, below are some of the milestones that we are able to highlight.

6/5/18 – The STAR Act (S.292) becomes law!!
5/30/18 – The Right to Try Act (S.204) becomes law!!
8/18/17 – The FDA Reauthorization Act of 2017 (H.R. 2430) for fiscal years 2018-2022:
On August 18, 2017, the Food and Drug Administration Reauthorization Act (FDARA) was signed into law, which includes includes the re-authorization of the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA). One of the things included in the re-authorization was the following: FDARA provides the FDA with new authority to require a pediatric investigation into an adult cancer drug if that drug is directed at a molecular target that is relevant to a pediatric cancer. This law creates the opportunity for new pediatric cancer drugs to be available that would otherwise not ever come to market.
